Privacy Policy for Actors
Last Updated: February 26, 2026
Skeldal Immersive s.r.o. ("we," "us," or "our") operates the VR application Actors. This Privacy Policy informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our application and the choices you have associated with that data.
1. Data Collection and Usage
We prioritize user privacy and follow a "local-first" data approach.
- Personal Data: We do not collect names, email addresses, ages, or any other personally identifiable information (PII).
- Sensory Data (Movement & Voice): Because Actors is a game about performance, the app accesses your headset and controller tracking data to animate your avatar in real-time. We also access the microphone to capture your voice for in-game recording and to generate lip-sync animations for your avatar.
- Speech Recognition: We use Wit.ai (a service by Meta) for voice recognition features. Voice data processed by Wit.ai is used solely to enable gameplay mechanics.
- Game Progress: Information regarding unlocked levels and game performance is stored.
2. Data Storage and Transfer
Your privacy is protected by keeping data under your control:
- Local Storage: All sensory data (voice recordings, movement animations) and game progress are stored locally on your VR headset. We do not upload this data to our servers.
- Manual Transfer: Users have the option to manually export their recorded data from the headset to a local PC application (provided by us) for the purpose of rendering videos. This transfer is initiated by the user and remains within the user's local hardware environment. No data is sent to Skeldal Immersive s.r.o. during this process.
3. Third-Party Services
Our application uses the following third-party service:
- Wit.ai (Meta): Used for voice command and speech-to-text processing. Please refer to Meta’s privacy policy regarding how they handle voice data processed through their SDKs.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
Since we do not store your data on our servers, you have full control over your information:
- In-App Deletion: You can delete your recordings and saved data directly within the game interface on your headset.
- Uninstalling: Deleting the application from your Quest device will typically remove all locally stored game data.
- Inquiries: If you have questions about how to manage your data or wish to confirm that no data is being held, please contact us at agent@actorsgame.com.
